We may be in our Summertime now, but very soon our winter will be upon us, and honestly wouldn’t we all love one of these gorgeous outdoor fireplaces!
Designed by Oslo based architects Marit Justine Hagen and Dan Zohar whose vision was “to combine an enclosed space for fire, storytelling and playing.” Made out of leftover materials from a nearby construction site in Trondheim, Norway, the design is inspired by Norwegian turf huts and old log construction.
They really have created an inviting sanctuary – and where do I get one!!
The outdoor fireplace is made of 80-layered circles and each circle is made out of 28 pieces of pine that are placed at various spaces to assure chimney effect and natural light and a double curved sliding door was designed for locking the structure.
