Sosume Designers Dress For a Water Crisis

Posted on 08 February 2010 by Rebecca

Sosume continue their ascent within the Australian fashion ranks by delivering solid collections of luxurious eco-friendly basics, and we love them!

The Sosume design team consisting of Alex Trimmer (Melbourne), Wil Fry (Sydney), Paulina Petkoski and Rachel Kozub (both NY) are bringing form, function and fashion to the world along with an ethical heart beat.

Sosume’s signature is the use of unique, luxurious and ethically-produced fabric – modal. Made from 100% beech tree wood pulp from Europe, the fabric is sourced from a high-end mill just outside of Lyon, France. The modal production process has been certified for the control of substances, and uses one tenth of the water used in cotton production.

With their garments being manufactured in Australia, Sosume also go one step further and donate to notable causes such as the Bush Heritage Fund and The Wilderness Society.
