Don’t be a Tosser!

This site may be Canadian but it has a great message about recycling your plastic and glass bottles – Don’t be a Tosser.

Here at My Green Australia we also endorse recycling and reusing with some of these great and very easy tips!

Old oil and wine bottles can be used to store your own flavoured oils and vinegars. These items last for ages if properly sterilised, and if you add some nice decorative flourishes to the bottles they make lovely gifts.

If you know someone who brews their own beer and wine they would probably welcome the donation of bottles. If you don’t know anyone and you like a drink, why not have a go at brewing your own drinks?

Using all your old screwtop jars, such as jam jars or coffee jars you can use them to store anything – add a few to your sewing or craft room to hold all the pins, buttons or thread.

Wine bottle make excellent vases, adding a single flower or a small posy to the bottle and sitting on your window sill to capture the sun glistening on the glass.
