Paperback Camp – Eco Camping in NSW

Have you heard of the word “glamping” before? Urban Dictionary defines it as  “Glamorous camping. Satisfying your craving for the outdoors and your penchant for a good meal, nice glass of wine, and a comfortable bed. No stinky sleeping bags on the hard ground and freeze dried food for me. If its not a Glamping trip, count me out.Paperback Camp is eco glamping at its finest!

Located 2 ½ hrs drive (190km) south of Sydney in Jervis Bay which is part of the Shoalhaven region, the gorgeous Paperbark Camp is surrounded by scented eucalypts and paperbarks.  Twelve safari style tents are privately located around the grounds and all have highest quality finishes and amenities that you would expect of a luxe hotel; wrap around verandahs, hardwood flooring, solar powered lighting and full insect screening.

The beautiful camp is respectful to the environment it sits in by ensuring that no trees were removed, all the tents have solar powered lighting, low flow showerheads, dual flush toilets and they are revegatating the areas around the whole development.

Guests will have to leave their cars behind but have full access to the canoes, kayaks and bicycles!

Sounds pretty relaxing don’t you think!!

  1. Just got to love this Eco accommodation and what a spot. This part of Australia has the cleanest beach sand, it squeaks under your feet.. Light weight flexible solar modules would go nicely on roof coupled with a Solarpod 240 to power your lighting and soft music at night. What a life!
