Op shops are fantastic, there’s no two ways about it. They’re a great way to avoid purchasing new and prevent perfectly good cast-offs from going into landfill, plus you’re supporting charity at the same time.
As more and more consumers are concerned with “going green,” greenwashing is becoming an ever-larger problem worldwide. Essentially, greenwashing is when businesses and companies make their products appear to be green when they are not, enticing consumers to spend more money on them undeservedly.
This Christmas, why not give something that was actually handmade instead of mass produced in a factory (yes, I know some things are actually hand assembled in factories, but that is not what we are talking about).
